TYP 113 | BAUHAUS LAMP

Midgard’s desklamp TYP 113 is one of the very first serial produced adjustable lamps of the world.

When the Bauhaus moves into its new building in Dessau in 1926, they are part of the interior – selected by Walter Gropius – illuminating both the Werkstätten and the Master Houses.

The TYP 113 is a hand manufactured masterpiece.
Every single part is produced in Germany, by using original techniques
and materials, such as nickeld pipe, enamelled lampshade,
isolator out of porcelaine and bakelite socket with turning switch.
As a specialist for bending pipes THONET could be won
as a production partner for the TYP 113.

The TYP 113 is limited to 100 numbered pieces.
